100 YEARS OF BRITISH SONG

Ian Shaw with special guests - Queen Elizabeth Hall

Two musical hours of hope, history, conflict, fashion, giggles, power, war and love.

Award-winning musician, comedian and presenter, Ian Shaw, gathers around his piano a sparkling team of singers from jazz, soul, folk and song-writing, and players from the jazz world and beyond.

From the laments of the First World War and the Hollywood-influenced songs of the 1930s, to the intimate and wide-reaching power of early radio, the teenage 1950s, the botanically-infused 1960s, the bonkers 1970s, the Brit-sound powered 1990s and 21st century performers like Emeli Sande.
