'Idiot-Syncrasy' - Igor and Moreo

Idiot-Syncrasy is the new work from Igor Urzelai and Moreno Solinas, two London based dance artists making and presenting work across Europe. Their work is characterized by a strong will to employ a poetic yet political language through the use of the body, voice, text and design to create finely crafted and playful dance works which are in equal parts exciting and uncompromising, poetic and thought-provoking.

We felt like idiots. Then we danced a lot. We jumped. We called on the folk traditions of Sardinia and the Basque Country. We sang. We jumped some more. We committed. Now we promise to stick together. We promise to persevere. We promise to do our best. www.igorandmoreno.com Idiot-Syncracy is supported using Arts Council funding through Grants for the Arts and is commissioned by The Place with support from Yorkshire Dance, Cambridge Junction, Centro per la Scena Contemporanea, Bassano (Italy) and BAD Festival in Bilbao.
