Orlando Gough: Breathe

In this new piece of musical theatre, composer Orlando Gough explores breath through the voices of Rebecca Askew, Anna Dennis, Melanie Pappenheim, who sing about breath from birth to death, supported by a chorus of respiratory patients.

“Breathe, composed by Orlando Gough and directed by Emma Bernard, received it’s full stage premiere in front of a packed audience at the North Wall Arts Centre, Oxford on 1st November. The 70 minute piece features the combined a capella skills of Anna Dennis, Melanie Pappenheim and Rebecca Askew; and involved contributions from an amateur chorus that included patients with respiratory problems and a small girls choir. Lighting design was by Chahine Yavroyan.”
